How is VAN different from other networking groups?
Giving Back
Our commitment as a group is to donate a minimum of 50% of our dues every year to charities in our local community. We also participate in events, donate goods, and more!
Focus
We are a group of entrepreneurs and business owners who focus on the different ways members can contribute, such as bringing guests, planning fundraising events, and sharing member info with friends and family, rather than setting requirements and imposing penalties.
Early Meetings
We meet weekly at 7am so members of the group can connect, share referrals and important information, all while starting their work day at a decent time.
Fees
It is important to help each member grow their business. That is more challenging when an application fee and dues are steep. We keep expenses down so we can keep the application fee at $200 and quarterly dues $60, which allows our members to be more successful.
Category Specific
Being a category-specific networking group means there will only be one realtor, dentist, solar, etc., which makes it easier for the group to refer your business.
Collaboration
Unanimous Votes
With each new applicant, the entire membership votes. An applicant must receive a unanimous vote by the group to join. This helps ensure each new member is a good fit.
Contributions
We want every member to be heard, to share ideas, and to help us make the group better. To accomplish this, one meeting each quarter is used to acknowledge successes, introduce and vote on changes, and award members who have excelled.
Mission Statement
“To build a vibrant and growing group of civic-minded professionals and business owners who will generate increasing amounts of business for each other through referrals, while giving back to our community.”
